Fly in.
We take it from there.

Seven days of river, saddle, canyon and trail through San Rafael and Malargüe — the Cañón del Atuel, Valle Grande, and the ruins of El Sosneado — bookended each night by boutique lodges, asados by the river, and a bed that's already turned down. You carry a daypack. We carry the rest.

"The Andes weren't made to be seen through a bus window. They were made to be climbed, ridden, forded and, at the end of it, toasted with a glass of Malbec that grew four hundred metres up the road."

Andean Reach designs multi-day journeys across the Cuyo foothills that move — on foot, by bike, on horseback, on whitewater — through a single continuous landscape, rather than a checklist of stops.

Every day ends somewhere that took as much care to choose as the trail did. You arrive tired in the good way. We take it from there.

Real adventure, every day

No filler days. Each journey mixes rafting, packrafting or kayak, mountain biking, trekking, horseback and canyoning across genuinely different terrain — guided by locals who grew up on it, at a pace matched to your group.

Stone architecture at natural thermal pools, Mendoza foothills

Boutique stays, never chains

Family-run lodges, bodega guesthouses and mountain refuges, each chosen on the ground and capped at a handful of rooms — so the welcome is personal on night one and night six alike.

Cuyo on the table, always

Asado over quebracho coals, high-altitude Malbec, preserves from the same valley you rode through that morning. Meals are sourced, not catered.

"We rode, hiked and rafted our way across four days and never once opened a map or a wallet. Every lodge felt like it had been chosen by a friend, not a booking engine."

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you ask.

The things people usually want to know before they reach out — if yours isn't here, the WhatsApp below is the fastest way to ask.

Do I need previous experience with rafting or mountain biking?
No — trips are private and custom-built around your group, and the physical rating is 3/5 as designed. Guides set the pace to match your group, and can push it to 4–5 for fit groups chasing more adrenaline.
What's not included in the price?
International flights to Mendoza, travel insurance, and your own trekking and mountain-bike clothing and footwear. All water-sport gear — wetsuits, helmets, life vests, kayaks and packrafts — is provided.
Can I book if I'm traveling solo or as a couple?
Trips start at 2 travelers, since every itinerary is private and custom rather than joining a fixed group. If you're traveling alone, get in touch and we'll work out the best way to arrange it.
How does the price change with group size?
USD 2,500–3,000 per person — the bigger the group, up to 8 travelers or a private buyout, the lower the per-person rate.
What happens if weather affects a day's activity?
Guides monitor river and mountain conditions throughout and adjust the day if needed — the order of activities has some built-in flexibility for exactly this reason.
How far in advance should I book?
Since every trip is rebuilt around your dates and group, we'd suggest starting the conversation a few months ahead, especially within the October–March season.
How do I get to San Rafael from the airport?
Fly into Mendoza (MDZ) — airport transfer to San Rafael is included in the trip.
Welcome to Malbec country — for a journey that's anything but conventional.
